I read the book by Gareth Tonnessen, God's Extraordinary Grace and was greatly blessed. It was an honest report of a faithful servant of God. I found it stimulating, helpful, insightful and most helpful in encouraging believers in their walks of faith. Unlike many autobiographies I have read, Gareth tells his story with honesty and candor, not glossing over the difficult times in his life, but telling it as it developed. There was no attempt to omit those occasions which may have placed him in a less favorable light. The emphasis throughout was to focus on the Lord and the ways in which He ministered to Gareth and his family as they journeyed through the path the Lord had ordained for them to walk.

Gareth tells his story in such a way that his readers are fully engaged and greatly interested.

What’s the purpose of life? Why am I here? Have you ever wrestled with these questions? The author finds himself asking these questions, even after being saved at a young age. Follow along through his journey of self-discovery as God reveals himself to the author in a personal way. You’ll find yourself laughing out loud at his orney childhood antics and crying through his first heart-break. The book is more like a conversation with an interesting character that you won’t want to end.
